On Tuesday, Jammu and Kashmir police announced the arrest of a man for allegedly sexually abusing a girl in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
According to a police spokeswoman, the accused was detained today in reaction to a sad occurrence involving sexual harassment against a young child.
According to the statement, the victim went to the Soibug Police Station yesterday to make a written complaint outlining the events of the day.
“According to the victim’s statement, she left for her coaching classes in Budgam on May 25th.” Along the way, she took a ride from an unknown car at Soibugh. Unfortunately, the driver subjected her to sexual harassment throughout the journey. “She managed to flee, but she left her phone and school bag inside the vehicle,” it says.
It went on to say that after taking prompt notice of the event, Budgam Police launched a comprehensive investigation.
“The accused individual involved in this heinous act has been identified as Saqib Ahmad Dar of Narkara Budgam through diligent efforts and resourceful investigative work.” He was captured quickly, and the car involved in the incident was also impounded.”
It goes on to say that Budgam Police are dedicated to guaranteeing the safety and security of all people, especially women and children.
