Srinagar, 19 May: PNB-MetLife, J&K Bank’s Life Insurance Partner, presented Naseema, legal successor of Late Bashir Ahmad Kuchhay, who was a customer at the Surasyar Branch in Budgam, with a symbolic check for Rs 32 lakh in timely payment of an insurance claim under the Met Loan and Life Suraksha (MLLS) plan.

According to the policy’s Level Cover Option, the actual amount was partially credited to the deceased’s loan account, while the remainder was transferred to the nominee’s saving account.

In the presence of Zonal Insurance Coordinator Sajad Ahmad Farooqi, Zonal Head (Credit Life) PNB MetLife Irfan Ali Zargar, and other Bank and insurance agency officials, the Bank’s Zonal Head (Budgam) SaadutHussainPampori handed over the check to the nominee of dead NaseemaBano.

Naseema expressed gratitude to the bank and insurance company on the occasion, saying, “I think we have been fortunate enough to have this insurance policy, the timely settlement of which has relieved us of huge financial burden.”

Speaking on the occasion, the Zonal Head said that the Bank constantly advises its clients to have their loans insured so that unanticipated events in life are taken care of without imposing heavy financial loads on their loved ones.

“We cannot compensate for the loss of life, but we can alleviate the burden on the bereaved family by partially compensating the earning capacity of the deceased family member.” Furthermore, we insist on our insurance partners ensuring the timely and simple payment of all our customers’ insurance claims, which will protect their financial security and the welfare of their family members,” he stated.
