Qazi Shibli was honoured with the International Kamaran Award last year. The Fetisov Journalism Award also named him a finalist.

Qazi Shibli, the only representative of India’s media community, has been named one of 15 finalists.

The Journalist of the Year Award is given out by the UK-based organisation One Young World to recognise and promote five of the world’s most influential journalists who are making a difference through their work.

There are thousands of journalists throughout the world who apply for the prize, but only fifteen may be considered for the final round of voting.
