In the Kreeri region of the Baramulla district, a man has been arrested after being accused of sexually abusing a young kid, according to reports from Srinagar on June 14.
A formal complaint was filed by the victim’s father with the Kreeri Police Station on June 13, 2023, according to an official statement.
The father, who is keeping anonymous for his kid’s protection, claims that his son, then six years old, was sexually raped on June 12, 2023.
It is claimed that the defendant intimidated the victim into silence. Therefore, the family did not immediately contact the authorities.
The Kreeri Police Station filed a First Information Report (FIR) under the appropriate provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act after receiving the complaint.
A probe into the incident was launched without delay.
SDPO Khalid Ashraf oversaw the rapid arrest of the suspects in the terrible crime by a police squad commanded by SI Ehsan Ahmad, the acting SHO of the Kreeri Police Station.
GNS, a news service, claimed that the culprit was quickly apprehended.
