A vehicle accident in Awantipora claimed the lives of two and wounded nine.

A car collision on the Srinagar-Anantnag highway this morning claimed the lives of two people who were apparently not locals, and left nine others wounded in Awantipora.

Kashmir News Trust, citing unnamed sources, stated that a tourist vehicle had been involved in an accident. Two of the eleven non-locals who were wounded and taken to the hospital later died.

Six people, according to hospital sources, have been transported to SMHS hospital for treatment.

Whether or if the victims are foreign visitors is still unknown.

An officer has verified that two people were killed in the crash. More information was needed.
