A young woman was murdered in a car accident on Palhalan Road

On May 31 in the Baramulla district of north Kashmir, a young girl was murdered after she was struck by a speeding car near the Palhallan area’s TCP.

Insha Gul, 19, was identified as the victim; she was the daughter of Ghulam Mohammad Mir, a local of the Nillah Palhallan neighbourhood of Pattan. According to witnesses, the child was crossing the street near TCP Palhallan when she was struck by a fast moving car. The motorist quickly left the scene.The people took the child to Trauma Hospital Pattan, where she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

Anger among the locals led them to demand severe punishment for those responsible for the incident.
