According to a media source, Russian mercenary commander Yevgeny Prigozhin warned on Saturday that Kremlin forces are undermining the state by sowing conflict between him and Chechen soldiers.

According to The Guardian, Prigozhin said that a conflict between him and Chechen soldiers, who are also fighting with the Russian army in Ukraine, had been settled.

The Wagner leader, however, blamed the conflict on anonymous Kremlin groups, which he refers to as “Kremlin towers,” according to the newspaper.

Their plotting became so out of control that Russian President Vladimir Putin was obliged to chastise them at a security council meeting, he added.

“Pandora’s Box is already open – we are not the ones who opened it,” Prigozhin stated in a statement distributed by his press office. Some Kremlin towers opted to engage in risky behaviour. Dangerous games have grown regular in the Kremlin towers… they are harming the Russian state,” according to The Guardian.

While he did not name the Kremlin side, he did say that it would have “hell to pay” if it continued to create strife.

The Kremlin had no response to his allegations.
