After four days, the body of a little kid was pulled from the flood channel in Hokersar

20 June, Srinagar: After four days of rigorous combined rescue effort here, the body of a youngster who had drowned in a flood channel of Hokersar was recovered, authorities said.

Ikhlas Ahmad, 7, from Hamdania Colony, Bemina Srinagar, reportedly fell into a flood channel of Hokersar (wetland conservation area) and a large rescue attempt was initiated.

They claimed the ongoing rescue effort including the SDRF, river police, and army had resulted in the corpse being recovered this morning.

After all the medico-legal requirements have been completed, the corpse will be released to the family for last rites, they said.
