“72 Hoorain” just debuted its first trailer, sparking a major Twitter backlash, with many accusing the filmmakers of upsetting India’s communal peace.

The film’s co-director, Ashoke Pandit, posted a contentious teaser on Twitter on Sunday, stating, “As promised, presenting to you the first look of our film 72 Hoorain.” I am positive you will appreciate it. What if you die horrifically instead of meeting 72 virgins, as terrorist leaders promise? The first trailer for my upcoming film “72 Hoorain” is now online. The film will be released on July 7, 2023.”

“72 Hoorain” is directed by National Award winner Sanjay Puran Singh and produced by Gulab Singh Tanwar. Aamir Bashir and Pawan Malhotra play the key roles in the film. The film will be released in cinemas on July 7, 2023.

While releasing the trailer, the film’s director said, “These people inject poison into their minds and make ordinary people suicide bombers.” We must remember that the attackers come from families like ours, who are victims of terrorist leaders’ twisted ideologies and indoctrination, which leads them down the road of evil.”

’72 Hoorain’ follows in the footsteps of films like ‘The Kashmir Files’ and ‘The Kerala Story,’ which have previously sparked major public controversy and even reached higher courts.
