On Tuesday, State Minister for Defence Ajay Bhatt claimed that the G20 summit has shown that Jammu and Kashmir is progressing.
The current administration takes a strict stance against terrorism. The actions of the government have been widely publicised. He said that the administration was also pushing for progress in Jammu and Kashmir. Ajay Bhatt took aim at the state’s critics, saying the Modi administration had proved them wrong by hosting the G20 summit without incident.
When Article 370 was repealed, many critics predicted bloody upheaval. Jammu & Kashmir, however, did not provide any such results. The state is currently moving in a progressive direction. Today, success is a race. The G20 summit held in this city is evidence of the shift. “The myth has been dispelled, and life in Jammu and Kashmir is improving,” he said.
G Kishan Reddy, India’s Minister of Culture, Tourism, and the Development of the North Eastern Region, expressed a desire to collaborate with the other G20 countries to advance sustainable tourism in India and beyond during last month’s G20 summit.
G Kishan Reddy, speaking at the opening of the ‘3rd Tourism Working Group Meeting’ at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC), said, “Significant progress has been made in the five key priority areas under the ‘3rd Tourism Working Group Meeting,’ namely Green Tourism, Digitalization, Skills, MSMEs, and Destination Management.”
“These priorities are key building blocks for accelerating the transition of the tourism sector and achieving the targets for 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” he said. The Minister also expressed satisfaction with the way the Tourism Working Group is heading.
He remarked that the tourist Working Group was making progress and that the combined efforts of the G20 states, international organisations, and invited countries will lead to the establishment of “inclusive and action-oriented decisive guidelines for the tourism industry.”
According to G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant, who spoke at the event, significant strides have been achieved in the five main priority areas of “Green Tourism,” “Digitalization,” “Skills,” “MSMEs,” and “Destination Management”
