May 31st, Srinagar: The leader of the Apni Party, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, has made it clear that he intends for his organisation to pave the road for more economic and political autonomy for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

A news release states that he spoke at a party event. In his presence, a number of DDC members and other political activists, most of them based in the Pulwama area in south Kashmir, joined the Apni Party.

Members of the DDC such as Awantipora Meema and Pampore Tazeema, as well as the District President of the PDP, Zakir Hussain, the Sarpanch of Pinglena, Omkar Nath Razdan, a representative from the PDD named Zahoor Ahmad Sofi, and DDC member Achoorgoza Mansha, were among the newcomers.

Bukhari, in a heartfelt greeting, invited them to join the party and promised them many possibilities to help the people in their communities. He remarked, “I cordially welcome each and every one of you to the Apni Party. I promise you that our party will never let you down and will instead provide you several chances to further serve the people in your region.

Bukhari continued by saying that the people of all origins, races, religions, and political persuasions are equal in the eyes of Apni Party. As a result of “this clear and inclusive agenda,” he added, “individuals from diverse backgrounds, including seasoned politicians and political activists from every corner of Jammu and Kashmir,” have begun to gravitate towards the Apni Party.
