During the meeting, Mr. Bukhari gave Mr. Shah a full report on how peace and unity are going in Jammu and Kashmir right now. He told the Home Minister that the people of J&K have done a lot to make and keep peace, which shows how much they want a quiet atmosphere.

The statement said that he also told the people that they want to do more to help improve the current peace process because they want to enjoy the rewards of a stronger state of peace.

But Mr. Bukhari sent an urgent request to the Union Home Minister, stating that New Delhi needed to take quick “Confidence-Building Measures” (CBMs) to make people feel better.

In particular, he suggested two important steps: releasing important religious leaders before the upcoming Eid holiday and announcing assembly elections in the Union Territory (UT) on time.

“The release of well-known religious figures like Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Moulana Abdul Rasheed Dawoodi, and Moulana Mushtaq Ahmad Veeri will bring more good vibes to the area. These important people have the power to make a big difference in getting rid of social problems, like the widespread drug use in the Valley. Also, the long-awaited news of assembly elections in the area would give the people a sense of political power. The Apni Party President told the Home Minister that these steps would not only create a good environment but also show that the government is committed to giving people more power and keeping political processes going in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Since Jammu and Kashmir has had a long time of peace and unity after a long time of conflict, now is a good time to take positive steps to support democracy and improve peace in the area. Mr. Bukhari also said, “It is primitive that people are no longer denied their basic right to choose their own leaders.

Apni Party President told the Home Minister that people in Jammu and Kashmir are excited to meet the pilgrims who are coming for the Amarnath Yatra, which starts soon. This is because the Amarnath Yatra has always played a key role in promoting religious harmony, strengthening cultural bonds, and bringing significant economic benefits to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

In the statement, Mr. Bukhari said that people should take every chance to show how friendly they are by accepting the yatra with open arms and receiving travellers with open thoughts. He stressed how important it was for the government to have complete faith in the people and give them many chances to show the yatris their kindness.

He said, “If we did that, it would not only make the pilgrims’ overall experience better, but it would also create a welcoming environment that encourages cultural exchange, understanding, and harmony between the local people and the visitors.”
