The Yatris have access to free, around-the-clock medical care. Every Langer has access to our medical team. Dr. Singh said that patients who needed more extensive care were sent to the Ramban District Hospital.

He further said that visitors, managers of langars, labourers, and security officials all have access to free medical care.

The Yatris have praised the government for their preparations.

As one Punjabi Yatri named Balvinder Singh put it, “The preparations have been brought up to the mark. One of my ears was recently examined by a doctor. Here, you may get medicines without spending a dime. I am happy with the care I have received.

Dr. Sushant Mahajan, the director of the camp, emphasised that several amenities were available to the Yatris. The area has been outfitted with patient beds and electrocardiogram (ECG) devices. Drugs are being given out at no cost.

Another Yatri, Vinay Kumar, said, “I had a skin cut.” A doctor was sent in to clean it up and cater to it. In addition, the doctor did my blood sugar check at no expense. I thanked the physicians for their care.

On July 1, the first pilgrims started making their way from Baltal base camp in Jammu Kashmir’s Ganderbal to Amarnath Cave as part of the annual Amarnath Yatra. The last day of the 62-day trip is August 31.
