Srinagar, June 20: According to official reports, a guy who had been severely hurt in a fight on Tuesday evening in the Mattan area of the Anantnag district in south Kashmir passed away as a result of his injuries.

They stated that a fight broke out in the Paibugh region, and that during the fight, a guy who was purportedly part of one of the fighting groups was struck on the head with a steel-rod by the other side. After this, he was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.

“A police team shortly after the incidentreached the spot to ascertain the facts,” they stated. “The investigation is ongoing.”

An official from the police department who responded to our inquiry said that a man’s skull had been fatally injured as a result of someone hitting him with a steel rod. An official said that “the injured was taken to a hospital, where the doctors declared him as brought dead on arrival” once he arrived at the facility.

The official named the dead individual as Faizan Nabi Bhat, son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat, a resident of Pehroo Anantnag. The official further said that a case has been launched in this issue for the purpose of further investigations.
