The Forest Training College of Bandipora celebrated World Environment Day with a unique event in Chiternaar Bandipora on June 7 in an effort to preserve the planet’s natural resources for future generations.

kids from Army Goodwill School and RP School joined GMS Onagam kids in the competition. First place in the speaking category went to eighth grader Zainab Gani of GMS Onagam. The runner-ups were from RP School and Army Goodwill School.

Chief Guest and award-winning educator Javaid Jawad discussed the dire effects of environmental deterioration in his speech. To combat the growing levels of soil, air, and noise pollution, he urged the students to take action. The professors at the Forest Training College, Manzoor Ahmad and Mukhtar Ahmad, as well as the college’s curator, Tajamul Ahmad, gave speeches.They discussed the many causes of ecological degradation and pollution.

Various schools’ pupils also engaged enthusiastically in a quiz competition and a Tug of War tournament. The Army Goodwill School was the overall winner. The faculty and employees of the university honoured Javaid Jawad with a gift in recognition of his achievements in the area of education. Manzoor Ahmad presided over the event and made sure everything ran well.Principal Riyaz Ahmad Malik of the Forest Training College appreciated everyone who came out for the event.
