Budgam Hosts a Job Fair with Over 600 Young People in Attendance

On June 15th, the Government Boys Higher Secondary School in Budgam hosted a Job Fair in conjunction with the District Employment and Counselling Centre/MCC Budgam and the District Administration of Budgam.

According to a statement sent to CNS, Director of Employment for Jammu and Kashmir, Nisar Ahmad Wani, opened the job fair in the presence of Joint Director of Employment for Kashmir, Hakeem Tanveer, Principal of BHSS Budgam, and other dignitaries.

NCS centre for differently able individuals Srinager attended the expo for the first time, and they registered four people in need of rehabilitation. According to the statement, “as many as 12 well-known private companies participated in the job fair to conduct on-the-spot interviews and provide jobs to the unemployed youth of the District.”

Future Solutions, Royal International, SBI Life, Win Placement Services Wizkid Educorp, Fairdeal motors, Natural Lifecare Tata Aia life Insurance, Wishfin Technologies and v5 global, Zoonak technologies, etc. were only few of the organisations that were present at the job fair. 

According to the official statement, “around 600 candidates attended the job Fair, out of which 201 candidates got registered themselves on the Employment Department’s J&k portal,” and “as many as 48 candidates were shortlisted for various jobs by providing companies on the spot.” The skill training programme of Wiz Kid Educorp has 210 enrolled participants. The candidates’ reaction was overwhelmingly positive.

The Director of Employment made a statement announcing that similar job fairs, with representatives from national, international, and reputable organisations, would be held in other sections of the valley in the future, with the goal of helping as many jobless young people as possible find gainful employment.

In the statement, he encouraged young people to sign up for the relevant website so that they could take advantage of the many chances presented by these fairs and get employment offers directly in their mailboxes. (CNS)
