CM of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde is taking "leave" to go to Jammu & Kashmir

Today, June 10th, media outlets reported that Eknath Shinde, chief minister of Maharashtra, will be spending the next three days in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir.

The Times of India reports that shortly after Shinde arrived in Jammu on Thursday, he made his way to the Vaishno Devi temple in Katra. Shrikant Shinde, his son and a member of parliament, is beside him.

The Shinde-Fadvanis administration will have been in office for a year when the chief minister pays a visit. Shinde, the article claims, will meet with government officials to discuss the industry of tourism.

According to Greater Kashmir’s sources, Shinde is now in the northern Kashmir mountain resort of Gulmarg.
