Srinagar, June 27: Ghulam Ahmad Mir, a senior Congress leader, asked for the right preparations to be made for the people on the very happy occasion of Eid-ul-Zuha.

Mir led a meeting of party workers from Block Sagam in the Kokernag area of the Anantnag district. They talked in depth about the social and political situation in Jammu and Kashmir. He also heard from people about the many problems they were having because there was no elected government. This meant that the common people were not represented at every suitable venue. The Congress leader said that the government gets sick pleasure out of striking people for one reason or another.

He was also worried about the economic crisis people were facing because of the sharp rise in unemployment and many other development and economic problems. He criticised the BJP for not being able to win the people’s trust and faith.
