Yash Dayal, who made headlines after being pounded for five sixes in an over by Rinku Singh during IPL 2023, has sparked outrage after posting a ‘Love Jihad’ narrative on Instagram.

Dayal posted an Instagram Story on the Shahbad Dairy murder case, in which the accused Sahil Khan stabbed a 16-year-old girl Sakshi over 20 times before bludgeoning her with a cement slab and murdering her on the spot.

After landing in difficult seas, Dayal withdrew the report and clarified the behaviour as a “mistake.” “Guys, apologies for the story,” Dayal wrote. Please do not propagate hatred since it was uploaded by accident. Thank you very much. “I respect every community and society,” he said on his Instagram story after removing the earlier post. Fans, however, reacted angrily to Dayal, accusing him of inciting hatred.

Dayal appeared in five IPL 2023 matches for GT, taking two wickets. According to captain Hardik Pandya, the left-armer became unwell and dropped 6-8 kgs after Rinku’s attack in the KKR encounter. He didn’t play another game for GT this season, after making nine appearances and taking 11 wickets previous year.

“I can’t confirm that (on Yash Dayal’s chances of playing again this season).” After the match, he became unwell and dropped 7-8 kg. During that time, a viral illness spread, and his health is now not good enough to take the pitch owing to the stress he was under. At the end of the day, someone’s loss is someone else’s gain. When asked about Dayal during a post-match programme on Star Sports, Hardik replied, “It will be a long time before we see him on the pitch.”
