Eid-ul-Adha breaks on June 29-30: Govt

The Jammu and Kashmir government changed its original order on Tuesday and said that the Eid-ul-Adha holiday will now be held on June 29 and 30, or Thursday and Friday.

In an order, the government changed what it had said before and said that the Eid-ul-Adha breaks will be on June 29 and 30, not on June 28 and 29.

“In partial modification of Government Order No. 1596-JK(GAD) of 2022 dated 30.12.2022 and Government Order No. 1597-JK(GAD) of 2022 dated 30.12.2022 it is hereby ordered that the Eid-ul-Azha holiday shall now be observed on June 29th and 30th, 2023, instead of June 28th and 29th, 2023.
