At the same time, Shameema Firdous, president of the State Women’s Wing, and Ali Muhammad Sagar, general secretary of the party, paid their respects at Khanqah-e-Mualla in Srinagar to have a firsthand look at the preparations being made for the upcoming Urs of Hazrat Amir-e-Kabir Mir Syed Ali Hamadani (RA).

The leaders toured the shrine grounds and received a briefing from Khudam and representatives of stakeholder departments on preparations being made for the upcoming Urs, when devotees converge on the grounds from all over the valley for prayers that last all night and throughout the day.

They were also informed of the continuing construction projects that would eventually result in better parking, medical care, and other amenities for the worshippers.

Leaders emphasised the need of frequent cleaning efforts to the Khudaman-e-Ziyarat and concerned representatives of line departments.
