On Thursday, G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, claimed that the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Jammu will echo the message of “one India – from Kashmir to Kanyakumari” throughout the globe.

After the opening of the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) in Jammu, he gave a speech to the crowd.

Reddy praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his “commitment and resolve” to restore the grandeur of glorious “one India,” calling the temple a “Centre of spirituality and Sanatan traditions.”

In addition, he gave Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and the TTD Board and Chairman his highest compliments for their tireless efforts that ultimately resulted in the temple’s rapid completion.

The “Maha Samprokshanam” of the temple in Majeen on the outskirts of Jammu was attended by Reddy, LG Sinha, and Union Minister of State in PMO Jitendra Singh.

The Union Minister of Culture and Tourism sent his best wishes to the people of India, the administration of Jammu and Kashmir, and all the followers of Sri Venkateswara. Jammu’s temple will spread the word far and wide that all of India, from Kashmir to the southernmost tip of Kanyakumari, is connected. This will be a hub for Sanatan rituals and beliefs. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading a revival of India’s old civilisation, the Union Minister said.

He credited the quick completion of the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple to the dedication of the Lieutenant Governor of J&K and the Chairman and Board members of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi and other major pilgrimage sites now have another option for those seeking divine favour: Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Jammu.

Tweeting afterwards, Reddy said, “Blessed to have participated the solemn inauguration ceremony of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Alaya Mahasamprokshanam in Jammu with Lt Governor of J&K Sh @manojsinha_. Union Minister Sh @DrJitendraSingh, TTD Chairman Shri @yvsubbareddymp and other dignitaries. It would be possible for people all throughout Jammu and Kashmir to have a glimpse of Lord Balaji without ever having to leave their own state thanks to this temple.

From Kanyakumari to Kashmir, you may find Balaji temples all throughout the nation. This will allow worshippers to pay their respects to Lord Balaji at the Temple. More people will visit the area to seek for spiritual experiences, he noted.

I consider it a great honour to have participated in the Prana pratishtha of Lord Venkateswara Swamy varu in Jammu. He was referring to Kashmir when he tweeted, “The dedication of the idol as part of the Maha Samprokshana will revitalise this area that was once home to Maharishi Kashyapa.
