In a recent development, state-run oil marketing corporations adjusted the cost of commercial LPG cylinders while maintaining home cooking gas rates constant. The modification has resulted in a considerable fall in the price of LPG cylinders in New Delhi, with the cost per cylinder dropping by 83.50 from 1,856.50 to 1,773.
In Kolkata, the updated price for commercial LPG cylinders is now $1,875.50, while in Mumbai, it is $1,725. Similarly, commercial LPG cylinders are also available in Chennai for $1,937.
These pricing changes took effect today, in accordance with the monthly practise of modifying rates for both commercial and household LPG on the first of each month.
It is worth noting that the previous change in residential LPG cylinder pricing happened in May. Domestic cooking gas is now priced at $1,003 per 14.2-kg cylinder in New Delhi. In Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai, the similar prices are 1,029, 1,002.5, and 1,018.5, respectively.
These updates to LPG pricing reflect the continual efforts of oil marketing organisations to alter rates in response to market dynamics and changes in production costs.
Consumers may now take advantage of lower commercial LPG cylinder pricing, but home cooking gas rates stay unchanged for the time being.
