Harvinder Singh, a former J&K softball player turned coach, has been named coach of the Indian Senior Men Softball team.

He is the first Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory resident to be named coach of the Indian Softball team. Harvinder has been named Coach of the Indian National Softball (Men) squad, which will compete in the Asia Cup (Men) Senior Softball Championship from June 25 to 28 in Kochi, Japan, hosted by the Japan Softball Association and the Softball Confederation of Asia.

Harvinder Singh, a former exceptional softball player and NIS Certified Softball Coach from Jammu and Kashmir, has been working in this sector since 1995, and he has previously coached various Softball Clubs and J&K Softball teams.

Harvinder began his softball career at the local level in the fourth standard and went on to win several medals at the District, State, and National levels. Harvinder Singh’s uncle, Avtar Singh, a former National level skier, pushed him to pursue a career in softball.
