In Poonch, a woman is swept away and her niece is saved

According to authorities, a 45-year-old lady washed away and her niece was rescued after the pair slipped into Betar nallah (rivulet) while crossing it on Wednesday.

The ladies, Kurzam Bi, wife of Mohd Sadiq, and her niece, Naseem Akhter, wife of Safeer Hussain, both inhabitants of Noorkote Poonch, were swept away, according to them. Naseem, on the other hand, was rescued by locals and sent to a hospital.

According to a police official, Kurzam Bi has just a slim chance of life, despite the fact that the SDRF and police are working to locate the drowning lady. According to locals, the two were carrying flour at the time of the incident. (GNS)
