On June 20 in Srinagar, INTACH held a workshop to provide teachers with the fundamental training skills necessary to carry out heritage education activities. The event lasted for two days.

Training was provided by INTACH at their educational institutions via the establishment of heritage clubs and the launch of cultural awareness activities among the student body. The organisers have said that it is a part of the pan India INTACH programme, which involves arranging teacher training workshops throughout the nation in order to give the essential training and resources to teachers working in both urban and rural locations.

At the Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute in Srinagar, India, specialists from the Heritage Education & Communication Service) Division of INTACH New Delhi conducted special sessions with the faculty members there. M. Saleem Beg, who was once the Director General of Tourism and is currently the Convener of the INTACH J&K Chapter, presented a comprehensive lecture on the value of knowing one’s background and including youngsters in the process of comprehending their cultural origins.

Purnima Datt, the Principal Director of HECS INTACH, provided an explanation of the many components that, when taken together, make up both physical and intangible parts of legacy. Since its founding in 1984, he brought attention to the important role that INTACH has played in the protection and maintenance of cultural treasures. The programme was attended by teachers from a variety of schools in Srinagar, including both private and public institutions. Other notable figures, such as Veena Chandhok, Chairperson of DAPP School, Charanjit Singh Sodhi, Principal of Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute, and Altaf Hussain, Convener of INTACH Kashmir Chapter, were present at the event. The workshop in Srinagar had been coordinated with the help of a collaboration between the Kashmir Chapter of INTACH and the Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute.
