Jammu, July 22: Numerous shot stones have caused the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway to be closed to vehicle traffic, authorities said on Saturday.
“Traffic on NH-44 was stopped because of Mehad’s firing stones and Dalwas’s acutely slick road conditions. Travel without TCU confirmation is not recommended, according to the Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police.
According to the traffic police, the clearing process is already underway.
The principal road connection that connects Kashmir with the rest of the nation and provides the Kashmir valley with its only means of survival is the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
The route is used by trucks travelling to Kashmir that are transporting necessary supplies and other vehicles, as well as trucks travelling from Kashmir to the rest of the nation to bring fruit.
