Forty exceptional players under the age of seventeen competed in a chess tournament conducted at GHSS Ganderbal and sanctioned by the Zonal Level Inter District.

At MM Stadium Ganderbal, young men under the age of seventeen competed in the Inter School Zonal level Football Competition. Despite the rain, the young players from all four districts in the district showed their enthusiasm and heart, making the event a huge success.

An Under-17 girls’ Inter-School Competition was held by the Department of Youth Services and Sports in the Poonch region. KhoKho, chess, carrom, kabaddi, volleyball, and badminton were only few of the sports that were included in the tournament.

There were around 150 young women from various Poonch schools who attended the ceremony.

Sports events were held in the outlying region of Tangdar by the Kupwara Department of Youth Services and Sports as part of the G20 Meet festivities. These events were organised to get the word out about sports and the next G-20 Summit that J&K would be hosting. The enormous number of students and retirees who competed in a variety of sports despite the rainy day was a testament to their dedication and passion for athletics.
