Kupwara : Father killed his 9 year’s old daughter.

A father has killed his own daughter in the Kupwara district of north Kashmir, Police said. The Police have said that Iqbal, the father of the murdered minor used to resort to domestic violence “He beat his wife for over a year and on the night of the murder, he beat his wife who responded by slapping him. He wanted to teach his wife a lesson. So, he killed his daughter,” Police said. On Wednesday, a minor girl was found dead in Khurhama Zab area of Lolab in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. Her throat-slit body was found outside her home and her head buried under a cement bag, her family had told The Kashmiriyat. Jammu Kashmir Police on Monday held a press conference and said that the minor girl was strangulated by her father and then her throat was slit in the shed, where her body was later found by her mother. Police said that several suspects had been rounded up which included Mohammed Iqbal, the father of the 8-year-old girl. During the investigation, he confessed his crime after which he has been arrested. Police said that the accused the wife of the accused was a victim of domestic violence for a long time. “On Wednesday, he was slapped by his wife, to which he was extremely angry.
