Srinagar, 21 June Administrative Council (AC) meeting today under Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, authorised transfer of land for building of 125 bedded hospital at Reshipora, Budgam, a critical move to guarantee provision of excellent healthcare.

Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar was there, as well as Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary of J&K, and Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor Mandeep Kumar Bhandari.

The Health and Medical Education Department has been given permission to use 71 kanals of land in the estate Reshipora in Budgam to build a 125-bed district hospital, and the transfer has been authorised by the Administrative Council.

In addition to improving access to healthcare in the region, the new hospital will provide new job possibilities for qualified medical professionals.
