Today, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid homage to Swami Ashokanandaji, founder of Shri Ramkrishna Mahasammelan Ashram, Nagdandi, Achabal, Anantnag.

The Lt Governor said Swami Ashokananda’s life and teachings continue to lead society and inspire spiritual and social upliftment.

The Lt Governor addressed Yoga Shiksha Shivir visitors from different states and UTs at Shri Ramkrishna Mahasammelan Ashram. He recommended Yoga for wellness.

“Yoga reduces stress, teaches us to live in the present, inspires us to nurture the values espoused by sacred scriptures, to walk the righteous path and opens the door of peace, mindfulness, physical and mental strength,” the Lt Governor stated.

He added Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji made Yoga a mainstream movement for healthy society.

“Yoga belongs to everyone. “Yoga as a science unites body and mind, people, regions, and countries so that we remain healthy, happy, and contribute to the growth and welfare of humanity,” the Lt Governor said.

The Lt Governor applauded Shri Ramkrishna Mahasammelan Ashram’s contributions to society and our country.

Selfless service fosters unity in difference. We must achieve spiritual and socio-economic upliftment. The Lt Governor stated learning and meditation institutions can teach, advise, and use our strong human resource base to establish Aatm-Nirbhar Bharat.
