Srinagar: People’s Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti thanked the army on Wednesday for taking action in connection with a sacrilege incident in Zadoora village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Mufti, the former chief minister of J&K, said in a tweet that only true accountability can rebuild confidence between citizens and the military forces.
So yet, neither the army nor the police have issued an official comment. However, according to media reports, an investigation into the event has begun.
According to Mufti, Kashmir is the only area where the Amarnath Yatra coincides with Eid.
