Prime Minister @narendramodi has announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs. 2 lakh from the PMNRF to the surviving family members of those killed in the bus disaster in Jammu and Kashmir. The Prime Minister tweeted that those who had been hurt will be awarded 50,000 rupees.
Yesterday morning, a bus bringing pilgrims to the Vaishno Devi Shrine in Katra crashed near Jhajjar Kotli in Jammu, killing ten people and injuring more than fifty.
Ex-gratia payments of Rs 5 lakh for noks of the dead and Rs 50,000 for the wounded have been declared by LG Manoj Sinha.
