Non-governmental organisations (NGOs), social organisations (SOs), and volunteers in Ganderbal district are all pitching in to support those who have been impacted by the recent COVID-19 lockdown.

In order to better serve their constituents, several of these groups have collaborated.

Among these groups is SHSFWE, the She Hope Society for Women Business Owners.

SHSFWE has been on the front lines from the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic, providing aid to those affected by COVID-19.

Sami Wani, director of the Society for Humanitarian Supply and Welfare in Emergencies, said, “As the lockdown disrupted the economic activity bringing untold misery to the people, SHSFWE immediately swung into action by distributing dry ration, medicines, sanitary napkins, masks, coveralls, and hygiene kits for the elderly to enable the most affected to sustain themselves during those hard times.”

Wani said that they have given out 29 oxygen concentrators to COVID-19 patients throughout Kashmir.

He said that anyone who needed transportation to hospitals might take advantage of the free ambulance service they were offering.

Since the COVID-19 epidemic, the ‘AwaazAurEhsaas Foundation,’ another volunteer organisation helping the poor, ill, and disadvantaged, has been delivering necessities directly to the homes of those in need.

We have compiled a list of those who have been adversely affected by the lockdown and gotten to know them. According to Raja Parvaiz, leader of the AwaazAurEhsaas Foundation, “we have delivered food and other necessary items to them in several areas here over the last few days.”

Volunteer organisations in the Kangan and Ganderbal regions of the district aren’t the only ones working to help those in need during the epidemic; other NGOs, social, and religious organisations are pitching in, too.
