In the last week, heavy rains caused landslides that closed the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, suspending the Yatra many times.

Thousands of Amarnath Yatris trek the Pahalgam-Baltal axis to see the Holy Cave.

Dilbag Singh, Jammu and Kashmir’s DGP, visited Base Camp yatri niwas Bhagwati Nagar Jammu on Friday to inspect Amarnath Yatra security and other amenities.

On August 31, the 62-day Amarnath cave pilgrimage will end.

About 30 government ministries are tirelessly helping yatris make this holy trip a life-changing event. Officials are working hard to provide pilgrims with basic services and facilities at every location.
