Plantation drive and cultural function organised by 13 Bn SSB

Srinagar, July 23: At Shuhama village, the 13 Bn Sashastra Seema Bal Dignibal held a plantation drive as part of the national plantation drive campaign and a cultural exchange event as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The event was witnessed by Nuzhat Jabbar, DDC Chairperson Ganderbal and Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar, Ex. MLA respectively and Molavi Yousuf, DDC Member Khul Mulla, Rashid Ahmad, Mukhiya, Gramme Panchayat, Suhama, Muddasir Wani, Sarpanch, Gramme Panchayat Warpoh, . Abdul Majid, Sarpanch, Gramme Panchayat Bakura and Bilal Ahmad, Panch, Dignibal along with a large number of villagers from Shuhama, Warpoh, Dignibal and Bakura who were present throughout the programme.

During the session, Virender Singh Choudhary, Dy. Commandant, greeted everyone and provided a short overview of the festivities planned by 13 Bn SSB Dignibal for the occasion.

The activity started with the planting of seedlings and was followed by cultural activities in which SSB personnel and local residents participated.

The activity concluded with the Chief Guest’s Medical and Veterinary Civic Action initiative, in which a significant number of people and animals got medical help and free medications from the physicians and paramedic personnel of 13 Bn SSB Dignibal.

While speaking to the locals and SSB staff, Nuzhat Jabbar praised the SSB’s efforts to improve the lives of the local people.

While speaking to villages and SSB personnel, Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar praised the efforts of the government, particularly the 13 Bn SSB, in carrying out such projects for the people of J&K. “The Shuhama Village civic action programmes reflect the organization’s vision of building a stronger and more united society.” These measures not only helped the villages, but they also enhanced the relationship between the security personnel and the local populace. “The 13 BN SSB remains dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the local people,” it said.

Sh Dr. Gaurav Misra, Comdt(Med), Dr. Vishnu Priyanka, Asstt. Comdt (Med), Dr. Riyaz Ahmad Bhat, Lecturer, VCC, Shuhama, Sh. Rafiq Ahmad, Asstt. Comdt, SI Rakesh Kumar graced the occasion.

Finally, Kamal Kant, Commandant of the 13th Battalion SSB, gave a vote of gratitude.
