Cairo, June 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for India on Sunday, the last day of his first State visit to Egypt and the United States.Earlier on Sunday, PM Modi met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. They signed a deal to make their partnership a “Strategic Partnership.”

Both leaders talked about ways to strengthen the relationship between their countries in areas like trade, business, defence, security, green energy, culture, and ties between people.

The two groups made a deal to make their relationship a “strategic partnership.” Also, three Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) were made between India and Egypt in the areas of agriculture, history and artefacts, and competition law.

Arindam Bagchi, who works for the Ministry of External Affairs, wrote, “PM @narendramodi met with President @AlsisiOfficial in Cairo on June 25, 2023, and it went well.” The leaders talked about ways to make the relationship between the two countries even stronger. They talked about trade and business, defence and security, green energy, culture, and ties between people. The leaders made a deal to make the partnership between the two countries a “Strategic Partnership.” Three MoUs were also made in the areas of agriculture, archaeology and antiquities, and competition law.Earlier, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi gave PM Modi the “Order of Nile,” which is Egypt’s highest state award.

PM Modi also went to Cairo and went to the Al-Hakim Mosque. He wrote on Twitter, “Honoured to visit Cairo’s famous Al-Hakim Mosque. It speaks volumes about Egypt’s rich history and culture.

PM Modi arrived in Cairo on Saturday. Later that day, he went to the Heliopolis War Cemetery to honour the Indian heroes who died in the First World War.
