Police arrest a woman drug seller in Pampore

Awantipora police nabbed one woman drug seller from the Pampore area as part of their ongoing crackdown on drug peddlers and propagators.

According to police, based on specific information, police station Pampore, led by SHO Syed Aqeel Shah and overseen by SDPO Pampore Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir, placed a special naka at Gallander and arrested one lady drug peddler named Safeeqa Begum w/o Mohammad Shaban Ganie r/o Lelhar Kakapora.

A police spokeswoman said that 01kg and 800 grms of charas powder were discovered from the claimed lady drug peddler’s possession.

Case FIR 72/2023 has been lodged at Police Station Pampore under relevant provisions of the NDPS, he said. (KS)
