12 March, Srinagar: According to a report, Suhail Gulzar, a resident of the Kulgam district in south Kashmir, was the LeT terrorist killed in a confrontation with security forces on Saturday in the Handwara region of the Kupwara district in north Kashmir.

The news agency GNS cited sources in saying that Suhail “joined the LeT recently” and was from the Kulgam hamlet of Turigam.

Since previous night, there have been three different gunfights in the valley, with police claiming to have killed four terrorists, including international Jaish leader Kamaal Bhai alias Jatt.

According to the police, a fifth terrorist was captured in the course of the conflict.

An nighttime battle broke out in the Chewaklan region of south Kashmir’s Pulwama on Friday, according to a police spokesperson who quoted IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar.

Police said that one LeT terrorist was killed in separate gunfights early on Saturday morning in the Serch region of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal and the Nechama, Rajwar area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara.

A police spokesperson stated that the three incidents occurred after police and security services conducted coordinated operations in four to five different places around the valley late yesterday.
