At Nagbal Chandoosa in Baramulla, a militant with the LeT organisation was apprehended, and one grenade was found in his hands.

A spokeswoman for the police stated that a combined team of Baramulla police and 52 RR deployed an MVCP at the Shranz crossing Nagbal Chandoosa in response to specific information, adding that a suspect who was travelling from Shrunz attempted to escape upon seeing the joint naka party but was captured.

One explosive was found during his personal search, and he was promptly arrested. Mohd Ashraf Mir son of Mohd Shafi Mir resident of Laridoora Chandoosa, he added, was detained and recognised as a member of the LeT organisation.

It’s important to note that the detained friend is really a surrendered guerrilla fighter.

He claimed that a complaint had been filed at Chandoosa police station under the Indian Arms Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, and that an investigation had begun. (KS)
