Jammu, 10 June: According to reports, police conducted a comprehensive search operation today at the house of an active Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist in Kishtwar district.
A home search warrant was acquired from the NIA court in Jammu for Case FIR Number 1 of 2022, lodged at Police Station Dachhan under sections 13/18/19/20/39/UAPA, 7/25 I.A Act, and 4/5 Explosive Substance Act, according to SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Ahmad Poswal.
“The search was carried out at the home of Muddasir Ahmed, an active member of the HM outfit and the son of Tariq Hussain Gainoo, who lives in Tander Dachhan,” said the SSP.
Evidence was recovered during the search, which will be scrutinised to identify the accused person’s participation in anti-national actions and terrorism, which will lead to criminal procedures.
Furthermore, SSP Kishtwar Poswal said that any sympathisers and associates of the terrorists discovered to be engaged in the probe would be prosecuted.
The officer requested the public to submit any information concerning the existence of anti-national elements (ANEs) by calling 9905154100 or 97972 86841. Informants would be appropriately compensated, and their names will be scrupulously protected, he stressed.
