Police rescue a tourist family from Kongdori in Gulmarg

Srinagar, May 26: Jammu and Kashmir Police rescued a tourist family on Friday after they allegedly got lost in the Kongdori region of Gulmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

“Baramulla Police today (Friday) rescued a tourist family of three adults and four children from Telangana who arrived in Gulmarg and went for a Gondola ride to Kongdori Gulmarg, but on their way back to Gondola Phase 2nd they lost their way and became stuck in the Kongdori area,” a police spokesperson said, as reported by GNS.

“As a result of this, police rescue teams of PS Gulmarg led by SHO PS Gulmarg Insp Irshad were formed, who followed around the Kongdori area and eventually reached the location of the tourist family and rescued them from the area and safely brought them back to Gulmarg,” read the statement.

According to the statement, the tourist family thanked Baramulla Police for their prompt assistance.
