Officials in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir, said on Saturday that the Indian Army has begun a search operation there after seeing suspicious activity along the Line of Control (LOC).

Officials claim that there was a short shooting incident in the Poonch area.

Suspicious activity along the Line of Control has prompted search operations in the Poonch area. Officials said that “a brief exchange of fire occurred after Indian Army troops cordoned off the area.”
