On June 25 in Cairo, Egypt, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded Egypt’s highest state decoration, the “Order of the Nile,” by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

India rightfully feels a sense of national pride at the news that Prime Minister Modi has received yet another of the world’s highest state honours.

Many countries have honoured Prime Minister Modi throughout his nine years in office by bestowing upon him their highest honours. Among them are the Companion of the Order of Logohu, the Companion of the Order of Fiji, and the Ebakl Award from the Republic of Palau.

On Sunday in Cairo, Egypt, Prime Minister Modi and President El-Sisi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

On Sunday, the Prime Minister paid his respects to the Indian troops who died in the First World War at the Heliopolis War Cemetery in Cairo, Egypt.
