in Saturday, July 15, the School Education Department in Srinagar issued an order mandating temporary admissions to all public and private schools for students who did not pass or qualify in all subjects in the statewide board examinations.

The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) issued the directions after receiving reports that interim admissions to such kids were being denied.

Kashmir News reports that the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) sent a communique to the region’s chief education officers (CEOs) in which it stated, “Many Schools affiliated with the JKBOSE are denying provisional admission to next higher class in favour of the candidates declared unsuccessful be it fail or reappear in board exams.”
