Ramban truck collision claims the life of a young Shopian man and injures another

An official reported two deaths and several injuries in the Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir Friday night when a vehicle slid down into a steep valley near Battery Chashma.

A news outlet was notified by a government official that a vehicle with the number plate number JK03E-3581 was involved in an accident not far from the location known as Battery Chashma.

He said that two people in the vehicle were hurt. One of the two was taken to the hospital, but sadly passed away, he added.

The wounded party was named as Mehraj Ahmad, son of Abdul Rehman, also of Shopian, and the dead as Asif Bashir, son of Bashir Ahmad Wani, a resident of Nowgam.
