The last IPL 2023 match on Monday (May 29) ended in disappointment for both the Gujarat Titans (GT) and the Mumbai Indians (MI). Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won the match, equaling MI’s record of five IPL titles.
CSK’s victory in the final means that they now share the record for the most IPL championships.
CSK depended on the extraordinary performance of their all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, who delivered when it counted most in chasing a goal of 171 runs in only 15 overs. Jadeja hammered a six and a four with just two balls left in the final, propelling his side to a surprising win.
Ravindra’s wife Rivaba and their daughter Nidhyana were also there in the grandstand, rooting for him during the IPL 2023 final.
