Residents of Ramban have been warned to avoid the river Chenab’s watershed region

Now that the floodgates of the Baglihar hydel project dam have been opened, the police in Jammu and Kashmir have issued an advice warning residents to evacuate the river’s catchment region.

Mohita Sharma, senior superintendent of police in Ramban, has said that Baghliar is looking more beautiful and complete than ever before.

The Chenab River has a strong current since all the gates have been opened.

She urged people to avoid the area known as the “catchment area” because it was unsafe.
