Friday (June 23) in Srinagar, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri announced that the decision to declare summer break for schools and universities will be made on the following Sunday.

Bidhuri told reporters that the administration is keeping an eye on the weather and would make a decision on summer break shortly.

The divisional commissioner was quoted by the news agency as stating, “After Sunday if we found that the weather is not good, we will have a discussion and accordingly we will take the decision regarding summer vacation in schools of Kashmir division.”

Bidhuri remarked, “We had set a timeline of June 30 but you will now see a different Lal Chowk by July 15.” This was in response to a question regarding when construction in Lal Chowk will be finished.
