SIA searches in south Kashmir after murder of bank guard

Srinagar, June 14: As part of its probe into the death of Bank ATM guard Sanjay Kumar Sharma, the Special probe Agency (SIA) of Jammu and Kashmir started a second round of search operations in three districts in southern Kashmir on Wednesday.

Since February of this year, when Sharma was killed by terrorists as he made his way to a local market, FIR No 14/2023 has been under close examination.

The SIA (K) has ramped up its investigation after a month of searches at nine different sites yielded nothing in the way of new evidence or leads on possible suspects.

Pulwama, Anantnag, and Shopian were all searched by SIA agents with the help of the CRPF.
